Méribel to Courchevel: The Mountain Transfer Between Two Worlds
The road between Méribel and Courchevel passes through some of the Alps' finest mountain scenery. FFGR makes the transfer as memorable as the destination.
Méribel and Courchevel are connected on the ski map by the same blue-run ridge that links the Saulire summit to the Bouc Blanc. By road, the journey is longer — dropping into the Allues valley, crossing to Brides-les-Bains, and climbing again through the Courchevel valley to 1850. It takes between forty-five minutes and an hour, depending on the season, the weather, and the hour. For guests based in one resort who wish to dine, visit, or stay in the other, the inter-resort transfer is a daily requirement during ski season.

The route is known in all its variations — the summer road through the upper pastures, the winter road through Brides that avoids the worst of the chain-requirement sections, the approach into Méribel Centre that allows a vehicle the size of a Cullinan to deliver guests directly to the hotel entrance without the reversal that smaller operators require. The inter-resort transfer is also used by guests travelling for business within the resort area — private meetings between chalet owners, corporate off-sites that use both resorts' facilities, family groups split between properties in different villages. In summer, the Méribel–Courchevel transfer becomes a scenic route through the heart of the Savoie. The road from Méribel to the Col de la Loze, open to vehicles from June to October, offers some of the finest high-altitude driving in France — 2,304 metres at the summit, views across to Mont Blanc on a clear day, and a descent into Courchevel through forests and alpine meadows.
